  1. ReadMe for !OnePrint
  2. --------------------

  4. Double clicking on the !OnePrint icon will load it onto the icon
  5. bar. Clicking on the icon will then open two windows.  In one 
  6. you may enter, load and save text.  In the other you may set the
  7. printer type style, and left and right margins. Make sure that
  8. you have selected your printer on the menu, then when you press
  9. 'Print', the text is printed. As many lines as shown on the 
  10. screen are printed. Size the window to print more or less lines.

  13. What is !OnePrint for?
  14. ----------------------

  16. *  !OnePrint is a utility for printing that odd bit of
  17.    text that you can't be bothered to load the word processor 
  18.    for. It allows easy control of your printers type style, and
  19.    position of print in the x direction.  I use it to print the 
  20.    occassional address label, dragging the marked address block
  21.    from any editor on to the !OnePrint window. Then set the
  22.    style and the left margin for the label position and press
  23.    'Print'.

  25. *  !OnePrint has a built in test page to help you compare the
  26.    quality of output and the print styles of printers.
  27.  
  28. *  !OnePrint is written in structured, readable, commented 
  29.    BASIC.  In particular it is an example of how application to
  30.    application communication can be programmed, either via
  31.    disk or RAM.

  33. *  !OnePrint is supplied configured for Star NL10, Epson and
  34.    Cannon BJ printers.  You may add you own printer by editing
  35.    the BASIC source.

  38. Why did I give it to you?
  39. -------------------------

  41. Well, it is really an advert.  Ivoryash currently have the 
  42. following two products that may be purchased from the address
  43. below.

  45. *  Multitasking Serial Link - Archimedes to BBC micro.
  46.  
  47.    The multitasking serial link enables files to be transfered between
  48.    the Archimedes computer and the BBC micro. The link software installs
  49.    itself on the Archimedes icon bar, just as though an additional drive
  50.    was installed. Clicking on the BBC icon lists all the BBC files in
  51.    a directory viewer. The files are shown with approximated file types,
  52.    together with any other directories.

  54.    Transfer of files between the machines is then a simple matter of
  55.    dragging an icon from the BBC directory viewer, to the directory 
  56.    viewer on the Archimedes. This allows very easy transfer of files,
  57.    or groups of files between the two machines. The link also allows the
  58.    transfer of files directly to applications eg !Edit and !Pipedream.

  60.    The link is fully RISC OS multitasking, allowing it to remain on
  61.    the icon bar for use whenever it is required.  It is compatible with
  62.    BBC B or BBC Master micros fitted with either DFS or ADFS filing
  63.    systems.  It is compatible with all Archimedes machines, although 
  64.    the A3000 will need the optional serial link fitting.

  69. *  Multitasking Teletext display for Morley teletext adaptor.

  71.    The multitasking teletext display is for use with the Morley
  72.    Electronics Teletext adapter, connected to any Acorn Archimedes
  73.    computer. Other teletext adapters are not supported.

  75.    Using the multitasking teletext display means that you can see
  76.    Oracle and Ceefax in a window on the RISC OS desktop.  This is an
  77.    ideal arrangement as it allows you to continue with other computer
  78.    work while the pages you wish to see are searched for.

  80.    The software is mouse controlled. To select another page you 
  81.    simply point the mouse at the page number, and click.  Mouse
  82.    selection may also be used on the four fasttext buttons at the 
  83.    bottom of the screen.

  85.    As well as the usual teletext features of 'hold' and 'reveal',
  86.    the software features a 10 page memory. This allows you to review 
  87.    any of the last 10 pages received.

  89.    You may save the teletext page to either a file, or drag it 
  90.    directly onto an application for inclusion in a document or letter.
  91.    Stored files may be dragged back onto the !Teletext software for 
  92.    redisplay or printing at a later date.

  120. 1) It is delivered with ALL the supplied files and
  121.    unaltered, except for addition of alternative
  122.    printers.

  125.    for (except for media and postage costs).
